Important - We are now a Nut Aware school

With immediate effect, please note we request that NO NUTS are sent into school in any form in any children's snacks or lunches. Full details of the requirements can be found by clicking this link. Thank you for making the school a safe environment for all of our community.

Thank you for filling the potholes!

A huge thank you to the Day family for helping us out with the ever-expanding potholes in our car park. We are really grateful for you giving up your time and resources to help improve the quality of the surface and reduce the number and size of the puddles the children need to avoid.

Thank you for our tree!

And another huge thank you to the Thompson family and TBS for donating our Christmas tree, which the children will be decorating later today. Thank you also to ALL the staff, who stayed to help deck the hall and the classrooms. It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

 Thank you for our kitchen!

Rowan class would like to say a really big thank you to the WSA for kindly purchasing this amazing new role play kitchen in their classroom. The children have been having great fun playing with it!

A goodbye and three hellos

Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Chadi next Friday. She is looking forward to having her own class again in the New Year in a new school. Mrs Chadi asked me to write "This is a fabulous school and I will be sad to go, but I am missing teaching."  She has only been with us since September but has been a real asset to the team in that time and we will miss her when she goes.

We will, however, be welcoming three new staff in the coming weeks. We look forward to introducing you to two new teaching assistants in the New Year but before that, Miss Wood will be starting as a general assistant next week, working all over the school in a number of roles during the school day.

Bags2Schools

The WSA will be collecting donations for Bags2Schools in the New Year. We donโ€™t need items yet, but if you are clearing out to make space for new Christmas items, could you hold off donating them to charity and we will let you know in the New Year when to bring them into school? The graphic below shows what can (in blue) and cannot (in red) be donated. Thank you in advance for your support of this.

Cold Weather

A reminder to please send children in with (named) coats, hats and gloves because baby, it's cold outside! ๐Ÿ˜‰โ›„

This week's (not so) hidden words are all Christmas songs. The first correct response via Seesaw wins the prize!
